Hair Salon at Kelly Lloyd's ICA exhibition

Another successful HAIR CLUB Hair Salon at the Baltimore Institute of Contemporary Art in the midst of Kelly Lloyd's exhibition Up like the Sun Down like a Pancake on artists and labor and the networks that connect us.

During this collaborative conversation event, HAIR CLUB and attendees unraveled questions of Hair as related to expressions of gender and race in Baltimore, in sports, in our online communities, in our professional networks, and beyond. We also spent time with some of the books from Kelly Lloyd's exhibition that feature Hair as subject, object, material, or theme, as curated by members of HAIR CLUB, and discussed how Hair connects us all even as it differentiates us across important lines of identity and subjectivity.
