This summer, HAIR CLUB is going to be teaching an interdisciplinary art history and sculpture course at Oxbow School of Art and Artists Residency in Saugatuck, MI. The course is called HAIR! HAIR! HAIR! and it will explore the multi-valent subject of Hair in our wider culture through several directed themes: Hair in Popular Culture, Hair in Politics, Long Hair, Sacred Hair, Hair in Art History, Hair in Contemporary Art, Witches and Curly Hair, Mermaids and Wet Hair, etc. Via lectures and group discussions, students will devise their own projects, which will be organized into an exhibition or performance event at the end of the course.
